Roloing into Fall Break

Apparently cupcakes are the rage.
Who knew they would be such a huge deal when they have
been around what seems like forever.
I don't think I like the cupcake, but I most certainly ♥ the frosting.   It is the only reason to eat a cupcake.
In fact what I normally do is break off the bottom part
of the cupcake and just eat the top part with the frosting.

So when I say I wanted to make cupcakes it's not for the cupcake,
it is because I want to make the big honkin dollip of frosting on top.

I have never frosted a cupcake with a frosting bag and fancy tip.
I use what every normal mother in America uses..... a butter knife.

Well today I wanted to try.  I was given a rolo cupcake recipe from
one of Jessika's friends mom's.  You can find it here if you wanna
try making it too.  Recipe

Here is my attempt

I know I need to practice to make them look cuter because that's why I want to make them is to make cute yummy frosting on top.

Now, for this rolo recipe all I can say is.......
Saaaweeeeeet!
I couldn't eat the whole thing it was very sweet,
but the kids ate them and we even took some to friends.
What you can't see is there is a rolo you put in the cupcake
before you cook it so it's like a secret surprise when you eat it.
I am not sure if I liked the rolo inside, I think next time I may
try without it and just put one rolo on top.

I am thinking my next attempt will have to have some
cinnamon in the frosting.  Something to make it feel like fall.
Maybe a pumpkin something or other.
Oh ya and I am going to buy a humongous tip for frosting,
I think that will make it look better.  Ü

Thayne has always told me that
"you are only as good as your tools",
so I think that makes it ok to go out and buy it.
