This is a word that I remember my dad using when something smelled. It is such a great word. You can say "what is that smell" and it could be a good smell or a bad smell. Now if you say "what is that stench", you know it is not good.
Well today I had a stench in the house and could not figure out where it was coming from. Not only was it a stench, but it was a stench that is the worse kind of stench to me. It is the one I hate the most and can smell it a mile away and know exactly what it is.
Rotten old chocolate!
Really can you think of anything that makes your stomach curdle more than that?
Ok I can, it was our rotten egg incident which I really should blog about!
Anyways, I found it......
under the tv stand in Thayne's office covered up with a towel which of course was used to hide the spill but never really cleaned up.
Towel went straight to the trash with the mug that was so nicely laying next to it on the floor.
Resolve = check
carpet cleaner = check
holding breath a long time = check
I am pleased to announce the STENCH is gone and my house smells fresh and clean!
Well Saturdays game was not looking to be very good for our team. We started the day knowing we would be missing 6 players do to fall break and illness. Then when we got to the game one of our best players did not make weight and could not play. Our quarterback was just getting over a fever but played the whole game. Right before the game Wyatt cracked his helmet and couldn't wear it, but since we still had his from last year he squeezed that big head of his into it. Now I am not sure if it was the good luck helmet he wore from last year or if it was just more playing time but Wyatt had a much better game yesterday and in the end we won 6-0. Not bad for only having 16 players. This is my favorite shot of Wyatt running the ball from yesterdays game.

Yes my friends, that is a megaphone!!!!!!!!!
When I saw her walking over to our opposing teams side of the field I was...
1. so glad she wasn't on our team
2. thinking I so have to get a picture of her before the game is over.
There is just something to be said about cheerleaders in their 40's, I just think it would be better if I just didn't say it!

Why do I not believe him?

Today I made a few trips to Lowe's and Home Depot. I have this project all figured out in my brain but really have no idea how it will turn out. I learned that you get alot more help at these stores when your husband is not with you. I also learned that they really don't help but are willing to follow you around and help you get stuff off the shelves so they look like they are helping. I had the guy at Lowe's pushing my cart, cutting molding (which I still have to cut the corners), and agreeing with all my wonderful ideas and saying I am so smart, and of course he kept telling me he would help me do anything I needed. I even scored 2 shirts and a mug just because I was joking around with the 2 cashier in the construction checkout line. Anyways, this is what I got....
molding
board
liquid nails (great stuff)
clear caulking
paint glue
screws
I think that is it.
Check back later to see my creation come to life.
I have a ton of stuff to do by Saturday night and my head is starting to spin. I have already talked to myself (you do it too) about the fact that all my projects I wanted to do by Saturday night were not going to get done. One reason is I am sitting here blogging instead. I don't need to be told that, I already know. Maybe alittle less time on Facebook. However, I have not planted on my farm there in over a week so I have not wasted a ton of time on there either. Primary program is Sunday and Shelli (love her) has done such a great job that I have not done hardly anything and have stressed little about. I have just been busy with all the little stuff. Don't think that hiring a house cleaner has not crossed my mind. I am going to stick with that fact that it will all works out, it always does!
Last night TJ went to the HS football game. When he got home I asked him how the game was and if our team won. His response was..."we got creamed".
This morning while driving him to school I asked him more about the game.
Me- So we lost last night?
TJ- ya, really bad
me- what team did they play
TJ- A really good one!
