TWENTY!!!!

My little boy is.... 20!

It was such a nice day celebrating TJ's birthday as a family.   We ditched church to drive to Paradise Valley to pick him up and bring him back to Queen Creek so we could spend the day as a family.   I love that TJ loves hanging out with us.  We had a great day having lunch, shopping and bowling.

Wyatt was so nice to make TJ a cake.

I was going to buy TJ an ice cream cake but Thayne said "is the ice cream cake going be made with love?", so I said I would make the cake.   Wyatt wanted to make it so with little supervision he did a great job and it tasted delish.

Time sure does fly by, but I am so thankful to have such a good boy who is very talented and fearless yet so gentle and loving.   He still finds time to text me and is never afraid to call when he can't find something at the grocery store.   I am so glad he is going to school close enough that we still get to see him often.   I can't wait to see what he is doing in 5 more years.

I just love this boy very much!

my college boy

Just like most moms, I like to take pictures of my kids on the first day of school.    The only problem is once they move out of the house and go to college, the first day of school pictures are not gonna happen.

EXCEPT......

This year I got a text on TJ's first day of school with this picture attached.

Can't you see the excitement in his face for school?
I texted him back telling him to have a good day.   He responded saying the next day would be his first day going to those classes too.

So, on Tuesday I was such a lucky mom to get a second "first day of school" picture.

Now doesn't that picture just melt your heart.   What a sweet boy.   You can just tell he is loving school.  I also love that there is a map behind him so I know he is really in school, phew.

What treasures to receive first day of school pictures from my college boy!   Love his thoughtfulness!

New Record for Mr. TJ

Saturday was a nice day for TJ.   He went from a record of 16'1", to a new record of 16'7".

Got to love progress!

I haven't looked at the pictures from my camera yet so this is from the video off my phone.
