Neon now and then

Neon colors were a big thing when I was younger.   Bright yellow, florescent greens and ohhh the pink.   The only thing that made the bright colors better was the big hair.   Oh wait before I write anymore about the colors I wore along time ago, I have to tell you the coolest thing.   I found Binaca in the store last night and had to buy it to show my kids.  Remember Binaca?  The breath spray that was popular in the 80's, well it's back people and I was so excited because it brought back memories. 
Ok so anyways I was saying I wore bright colors.   See this  picture.  I wore bright green spandex shorts.



how many of you can say you have a picture with a headband, fanny pack, walkman and scrunchy socks all in the same picture.   Good times I tell ya.

 Fast forward alot of years.   I don't think I need to put the number of years, you get the idea it was forever ago just by looking at the picture.

 

This was TJ today at his pole vaulting meet.   I was just not sure what to think when I saw him in bright green shorts.  I was glad he wears what he wants and doesn't care what anyone thinks.   He certainly has his own style and I had this small happy dance going on inside me because the bright colors are coming back.   Not that I will wear them again but so fun for my kids. 

Now if I had legs that looked that good I wouldn't have worn jean shorts over my bright green shorts.
