lack of communication?

When I first became a mom I heard a story about a mom who got frustrated because she kept telling her kids to stop jumping on the furniture and the kids wouldn't stop.   She continued to do this and continued to get frustrated until one of the kids asked, "what is furniture"?  

There have been several times as I have raised my kids that I have gotten frustrated only to think to myself, "I wonder if they understand what I am telling them"? 

HOWEVER, I do not think that was the case today when I asked Wyatt to clean his room and I found him doing this instead.

I am thinking that by the age of 13 he knows this is not his room and this is not cleaning.  

I am proud to say I stuck to one of my mom rules and took pictures before I got mad.  Phew..... I easily could have blown that one. 


This last weekend I was talking with my brother Travis and he was saying how some kids just learn better with flash cards.
