progress
I am making progress on my running. I am running a lap and then walking a lap. I am up to 2 miles doing it this way. Hopefully in a week or two I will be running more than walking but for now this works for me. I am not sure if I am breathing wrong or what, but by the time I run 1 lap my lungs hurts so bad. By the time I walk the 2nd lap my lungs are back to normal and I run and they hurt again. I am sure it is just from me not running for a long time and my lung will eventually adjust to the torture I am causing them. As I was running yesterday I gave myself a long talk about getting new music to run to. My brother suggested audio tapes because it keeps your mind of the fact you are actually running, so I may try that as well. It rained last night so today I will run at the gym and maybe sneak in a class tonight if my kids don't need help with homework. So there it is, my running update. Nothing special but progress is being made. Oh ya, new running shoes are on my list of things to purchase in the near future.

If it makes you feel any better, after my first mile, I basically run a lap (and a half) then walk a half the rest of the time. You'll get there, it just takes a little time. I think you are doing great!
Good shoes are essential. It will get easier.
As soon as I get over this cold I am going to join you in the running thing!
I'm impressed that you are staying with it. I hear it can become addicting. What would I know.
Progress is good! I am so impressed with all you runners!
I'm about the same place you are. The race keeps me pushing forward :)
