I know I said after I saw this the first time that I thought the scenes were very choppy. When Bella first pulled up to her dad house, it most certainly was not the house I pictured. In the book, I have to go back and read it, but I am pretty sure it said there was a drive way. I pictured a driveway, and this house did not have one. So, by the time I got over the fact the house was way off, they were already in the cafeteria. Whooaaa! Cafeteria not what I pictured either. Ok to be honest none of it was really what I pictured except, Dr Cullen. He looked alot like what I had in my brain. It almost freaked me out it was so close. Anyways, I think I spent so much time getting over the disappointment of it not being the same as what I pictured that I had a hard time with the story. In the end it did come together for me and I was touched by the love story of it.
Now today when I saw it I went with an open mind. I went without any part of the book in my mind. Ahhhh. The movie was much better the 2nd time, it flowed more. I felt it was longer than I remembered. I think they must not have had a huge budget for this film because I really think that the special effect could have been not so cheesy. I think with all the talented special effects people we have out there, it could have been better (except I think they did pretty good in the ballet studio scene). Bella's mouth drives me crazy and the way she exhaled all the time just about did me in. I had to try not to pay attention to that. Jacob needs some more acting lessons before the next movie especially since he will be a main character. I thought they did good casting him, but his acting was a little rehearsed. I like all the vampires, every single one of them. I would say one of my favorite scenes was when Edward saves Bella on the streets from the creepy guys. Really who doesn't love when the hot guys sweeps out from nowhere and saves the girl. I think because I am one who loves romance novels, I love seeing a good love story and this one even with the cheesy parts still gets my heart strings. So I think this movie fell flat in many of the technical areas, the love story in it still came out shining and won me over.

I guess I'm gonna have to go see it again.
I went completely expecting it to be nothing like the book and disappointing. Which in the end, was in my favor, cause it was better than I expected.
I'l let you know how the third time goes when I get there.
How funny- It was so close to everything I imagined except Dr Cullen. I loved it the first time and planning a second round sometime soon!
