game time

There is something I have been wanting to teach my kids but just
have never taken the time to do it.  Not that I don't have time to do
it, I just never got around to it.......until tonight.  I didn't teach them all.
I quietly asked Wyatt if he wanted me to teach him and he was very
happy I asked and said yes.  Actually, he said Ya, what is it?

This is what I taught him....

Backgammon was a game I played growing up.  I remember my dad would let us kids
take turns staying up late so we could have time playing backgammon with him.  I always
played with my brothers and sisters, and now I play with Thayne but I have never taught
my kids how to play.   So tonight Wyatt learned how to play.  He figured it out really quick
and I think I was probably annoying him every time I would give him a tip.  I'm pretty sure
he will thank me later because they really were good tips, or I will regret telling him when
he uses them to beat me.  I guess I will find out how my tips are taken.

I'm just glad I have a new game partner, and I am loving making new memories.

We JUST had a backgammon night here a few Sunday's ago. I love that you can play with anyone, anywhere. My kids will play it online sometimes and they like it better cuz the computer basically tells you what available moves there are so they dont' have to think so much. Sheesh!

You are a good mom to do it. Think of all the time you had with your dad playing. It is so good for kids.
I personally have never played.

I need to buy dad one, don't know what happened to the old one. You dad loves that gave and he loved playing with you kids.
Boy, he was a great dad (oops, still is)
