For the better good

A few years ago Jessika was growing her hair out to donate to
locks of love.   Locks of Love is a organization that collects
hair to make wigs for cancer patients.  In May 2008 Jessika's
hair was long enough to cut and donate.  You can read all
about it HERE.   Well, her hair got cut and we put it in a Ziploc
bag and it has sat in a drawer for almost 2 years.  We kept
talking about sending it in but never have.

The Good and Bad news.....

a few months ago one of my friends from High School died
from breast cancer.

This was us on our Choir cruise.

It's never fun having friends or family pass away.  It also hard
when you and your friends all go in different directions and
it's harder to keep in touch with them.  Thanks to facebook I was
able to have contact with Stacey before she died.

Sometimes I just look back and wish I was the better person that
did something to help make things easier for someone else.
A person goal for the future.

Last month another one of my friends from High School was
diagnosed with breast cancer.  Ugggg again!

My friend Gina is starting Chemo and since she is a hair
dresser she is collecting hair from people she knows to make
a wig.

I asked Jess if she was ok with sending her hair to Gina and
Jess was so excited to be able to see who would be using her
hair.

I sent it off today and we know it is being used for the better good.

Here's to a speedy recovery for Miss Gina!

Good for Jess what an example. I'm sorry to hear about your friends. Makes your heart ache.

That is very cool! My neice just donated her hair for the second time. My sister has struggled with breast cancer for the last couple of years and believe me the wigs made of natural hair are so much better. Way to go Jessica!
