39

I remember when I was about 18 years old. Really it wasn't that long ago that I can't remember that. I remember seeing people who were in their 30's and thinking they were so old and felt sad for them because they were no longer young but in the category "old" in my book.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!
Yesterday I turned the OLD age of 39. I know on the outside I am looking older everyday, but on the inside I still feel 18. There are times when my girls are doing cartwheels and I think "I can do that" and then before I make the attempt I have to think "how do you do this again",
BUT I CAN STILL DO IT!
Old is just how you think. When you start thinking you are old, then you will be. For me I am young and loving it.
Thanks to everyone who went out of their way to make it a special day for me. My kids were so good making it a special day, I am so lucky to have kids that are so thoughtful. Wyatt kept asking me all day if I was having a good birthday, what a sweetie.
When I was getting ready to settle in for the night I heard the knock at the door and was pleasantly surprised to see the whole Hixon family singing Happy Birthday to me and had the cutest birthday cake and gifts in hand. What a perfect ending to a great day.
A different post will follow soon to document what else I did today.
My favorite thought of the day was something Thayne's grandmother wrote at the bottom of the card she sent me. She said...
"enjoy all your birthdays because that means you are still alive"

She should know she is in her late 80"s

Yikes, I lost a day. Here I'm thinking today is the 8th, that means the card and everything will be late. I wished I could say i was having so much fun I forgot but just the opposite. Happy Belated Birthday
We love You!

Happy Birthday!!! I know exactly how you feel. I still feel 18, but Julia is going to be 20 in a couple of weeks (I guess I have to be a little bit older).

Heather, I soooo know what you are saying about being in our 30's and remember when a short time ago that was pretty old. When you were my YW leader there was big difference between 16 and 22, but now I am 33 and you 39? I didn't know you were so young. :-) How sweet of your sister and family. It's nice to have at least some family close by. You are young and you look young- and you feel young most importantly, therefore I am sure you ACT young. You are only 1 year younger than Tauni? Wow- I thought 20 months was close.

Well, all I can say is that I loved turning 40, so this should be exciting. Something to totally look forward to. Now I only have 2.2 more years before I turn 50. I wonder what new adventures wait before me...Happy, Happy Birthday! Thanks for being such a good friend...you have been a lifesaver! :)
