Today I share her recipe with you!
(I tried making this with half wheat and half white flour and it was ok, but my family likes the all white flour best)
2 cups warm water
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons active dry yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
6 cups bread flour
In large bowl dissolved sugar in warm water, then stir in yeast. Allow to proof until resembles creamy foam.
Mix salt and oil into the yeast. Mix in flour one cup at a time. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. (I do all this in my kitchen aid)
Place in a well oiled bowl, and turn the dough to coat. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for about an hour.
Punch dough down. Knead for a few minutes and divide dough in half. Shape into loaves and place in two well oiled loaf pans. Allow to rise for 30 minutes or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans.
Make at 350 for 30 minutes.
Remove and butter top of loaves. Let cool and enjoy!
This makes 2 loaves.

You are sweet, glad I could be of service. Just FYI, I started using 1/2 cup sugar and I like it better. Just a tad sweeter. Thanks for the thanks, it's always nice!
your loaf is shaped perfect. mine would not even come close to looking as good. i will have to try the recipe! thank you Heather and Laurie
Yummm! I will have to try that recipe. I love making homemade bread!
Yea, everyone loves white bread but the kids won't just all of a sudden enjoy wheat bread until thats all they get for a while and that's what you store in your food storage. Also, a suggestion add about 1/4 cup molasses to the recipe when using whole grains more flavor and more iron.
