I picked TJ and Sam up from school today and while sitting there in the car waiting for them I saw a girl walking with an Obama shirt on. The thought came to my mind that I should make Samantha's crutch into a flag for yes on 102, but I don't think she would feel comfortable doing that.
As we drove home I asked the kids if the HS did any kind of student voting, and they said yes. I just think that is fun that the school gets the kids interested in voting because one day they will get to vote for real.
TJ piped up from the back seat and announced that he will be voting for our next president in 4 years. Holy Smokes, he is right he will be old enough to vote in 4 years.
I then just sat there feeling so old that I have a kid that old, when......
Samantha piped up and said, "I get to vote for the next president in 4 years too".
Talk about a double whammy!

You are old! JK I have you beat in the age department. Matthew has only 3 years 'till he votes. Yikes!!
It is such a great blessing to be able to vote. I have such strong feelings about this vote then ever before. I guess that comes with age and experience. But remember, your only as old as you feel. That works both ways!
i'm not old yet! yay!
Good thing you are still young at heart, don't count that out! I'm very anxious and a little nervous to see how it all turns out.
That is a shocker! Those are the types of moments that hit you. I had one this week as well... while at a baptism, I realized that my youngest will be getting baptized in exactly a year from now. Jordan will then be in High School and Kelsey will be months away from young women's. Yikes! Where does the time go?
i love the new picture. You are so clever on how to put your picturs together. some day i'll learn.
I'm glad that TJ and Samantha are already thinking about voting in the next election. I believe their vote will surely be needed.
We need all the righteous voters we can get! Seasons of life change but you are still very young at heart. You have earned this season of your life-enjoy. Mine is yet to come and I hope it's as good as yours:)
I saw your blog on your facebook page. I hope you are doing well. Well, my oldest son will be 12 next month and I am not ready for that. I am wondering how did that happen, some people can't believe I have an almost 12 year old son, they don't think I am old enough to have a son that old, but hey I am 36. Check my blog out if you want.
