I had one of those days! Yes I most surely did. One of those days that starts out really well and half way through you just wonder why you got out of bed and all you can think about is how long til you can get back to bed because you don't want anything else to happen. Yep one of those days.
1~ The cow had no hay and Thayne is in California which means I had to go get some.
Not my most favorite thing to do but it isn't that hard so I did it. While backing
the truck into the pasture thinking I had the truck just right so the cow couldn't get out
the gate I learned very quickly that the Big F A T brown cow could get out.
I can't blame him, on the outside of the gate was green, green grass all over the place.
If I was a hungry cow I would sneak out too. However, I was not in the clothes
or the mood to be chasing a cow and besides it was hot. I had on a pair of
flip flops and not flat ones they were these flip flops.
That's right, those are high enough to sprain and ankle. I would know I've almost
done it a dozen times. After I got the cow close to the gate and in a corner
he didn't want to move and frankly neither did I. So I did what any person
running in those shoes would do, I took them off an threw them at the cow.
That felt so good, until I realized that I had to finish chasing him barefoot.
Luckily the cow was tired and he didn't see tired on my face so he
kinda gave up and I was able to get him back in the gate. I am so not a farm
girl. I am way more of a beach girl and I like it that way.
2~ After the whole cow fiasco, I had about a half hour to cool down and
change out of sweaty clothes before I had to take Jess to piano. At 3:15 we head
out the door to take Jess to piano I drop her off and I turn to go home to get Wyatt from the
bus to take him to piano, only as I was driving to get Wyatt (it was 3:40 now) I remembered
I told him I would pick him up from school and not to take the bus. Ugggggg.
He got out of school 40 minutes ago. Poor kid has a flaky mom. I called the school
and sure enough he was patiently waiting in the office. So I told them I would be right there.
He was so nice and didn't say anything about having to wait. I felt bad though.
So off to take him to piano, which takes me to the 3rd ooops in my day.
3~ I decided since I was still hot from you know the cow thingy, that I would get a
slush while the kids were at piano. I figured I would get them one too and surprise them.
I wanted to get one for Wyatt since he was nice about me forgetting him and Jessika
was getting one just because I am nice and didn't want her to be left out. So I went
to Sonic and pulled into a stall and ordered my 3 drinks. Which was only 5 minutes
past happy hour so I now had to pay full price. No biggy right. Well after I ordered
I realized that my debit card was in my pants I was wearing when I was chasing the stupid cow
and changed out of them. I hate that feeling when you can't get past how stupid
you are to get to the point of thinking what to do about it. All I could think was
(in my dads words) you stupid BB brain, how do you forget something like that.
Luckily I had the debit card to another account and used that.
All I could think was just go home. Don't leave the house the rest of the day.
I could hear my bed calling my name saying "come back".

oh that just stinks to high heaven. funny stuff.
I'm glad to know that I am not the only one who has forgetful days!
How come I'm never driving by for the good stuff?? That's funny about Wyatt because we were behind the bus and Rhett kept waiting for Wyatt to get off, but he never did. I was sure you had picked him up that day. AND, if it makes you feel any better, I'm notorious for leaving my debit card in pants that I'm no longer wearing. Quite inconvenient. Hope today was better!
Oh the memories, only I never had to deal with a cow.
So why do you have your Heeler if you don't use him?
Dad and I were just remembering the things I dealt with while he was always hiking somewhere with the scouts.
Certainly glad I wasn't a pioneer.
Hope you're having a better day!
