That is what I kept telling myself when I was shopping

with Miss Samantha today.   She invited a cute boy

to the school dance for this Saturday.  It is not a formal

dance but the boy and girl usually wear matching shirts.

So, we went out shopping for shirts tonight.

After many stores and hours of shopping later, Wyatt and I were

thrilled to finally see that we found something Samantha liked.

Plain and simple shirts.  I looked at the shirts

thinking it really took hours to find these. 

Plain and simple shirts but they will look fantastic in them.

Towards the end of our shopping trip I

sent and Instant Message to Thayne.  This is what it said....

"I hope I have more patience when Sam gets married"

his reply was......

"Wedding Planner"

I knew I liked him!

Mom rule #3~

You're not hip, cool, or stylish.  NO YOU'RE NOT! 

Ok maybe you are but your kids don't think so.

It doesn't matter what you pick out for your kids to

wear, they will not like it.   They will roll their eyes at

you and find something wrong with it.  They will whisper in

their brothers ear "mom's annoying" (yes she did).  But

then brother tells mom what sister said (he's obviously

wanting to be done shopping too).  So mom (me) says

"lets see how annoying I am when she wants me to pay for it." Ü

***** I did the I'm the mom dance in the store*****

The mom rule is....

Your kids don't think you're cool, so just deal with it.

Just embarrass the heck out of them!
