Mondays and Thursdays
are
We always forget to take it down on Monday but I don't stress over
it because Thayne isn't home to know that we forgot.
Thursdays I always remember because when Thayne gets
home on Fridays there is no full trash cans.
I know I am selling myself out because he reads my blog everyday,
but I am pretty sure he know this already.
Are you just wondering why I am blogging about trash?
Kinda gross huh?
Well, don't stop reading now you have already gotten this far.
So, we have 2 trash cans. Usually by Thursdays they are pretty full.
Wyatt is my one kid who never complains about taking trash down the driveway.
Yep.... down the stinkin driveway. Sounds like it's no big deal,
but this is our driveway.
(and for all my friends in the snow... look what I'm not shoveling)
Do you know how you have that little message on the side mirror of
your car that says "objects may appear closer than they are"?
Well, that is this picture. It really is a long driveway half of
it being a dirt road. Have I mentioned I hate living on a dirt road.
So, last night I reminded Wyatt that today was trash day and
we couldn't forget. He nicely said ok.
This morning as he was walking out the door to the bus, I said
"hey don't forget to take down a trash can, I forgot to have
the girls take the other one down so I will take the other
one down in a little bit". He said ok.
About a half hour after he left I decided I needed to drag my
butt out and take the other trash can down the long
dreaded dirt driveway. When I walked out to get
the trash can I noticed there wasn't any trash cans there.
Wyatt knowing I was going to have to take one down
decided he would take them both down. One in each hand
he pulled the full trash cans down the driveway with his
backpack on.
I wonder if kids know that these are the best gifts
they can give a mother. Doing something because it
is the nice thing to do. Helping out because they want to.
Doing something for someone else.
Today was a good trash day!
Maybe I will just have to sneak Wyatt out for some ice cream later!

What a sweet boy Ü
he's a sweet one. I hate remembering trash day.
You have taught him well!! What a great gift for you today!
They don't get better than that. And I will attest to that driveway being much longer than it looks.
He is a GREAT kid! sucks that you have to take it all that way though. If we ever forget, we're scr**ed.
