I knew it.

I was not meant to be a country girl.

I am beginning to believe that John Deere and I have absolutely nothing and common and we will never get along. I should be relieved thinking that means I will never have to mow the lawn again, but it also means our lawn will look kinda scraggly if we never mow it while Thayne is gone and we have alot of lawn to look scraggly.

Are you thinking football field? Soccer field? Nope, this is our front yard. Thayne decided to mow our name in the lawn one day when the kids and I were gone. We came home to this beautiful surprise. I thought it was fun.

Yesterday I went out with my ipod and a nice cold bottle of water (2 must haves when mowing the lawn) to mow the front lawn. Hopped up on the ol' John Deere and started the baby right up. Drove over to the front lawn and I could not get the darn blade to drop so it would mow. I moved the lever that you are supposed to move and still nothing. So I gave up. Yes, I GAVE UP! Stupid dumb mower.

Called Thayne told him it wasn't working and he told me I broke it. (He was kidding of course, or I think he was kidding.)

This morning got up, got the kids off to school and figured I had an hour to go out and try the mowing thing again. Still the stupid dumb ugly green monster wouldn't mow. I drove it over to the hose and hosed off all the old grass that was packed up under the blades and then parked it to let it dry off. I left to go get TJ from school early. We did a few errands and when we pulled into the drive way I said to TJ "Hey I can't get the stupid dumb ugly lawn mower to mow, the blade won't drop". He just gave me a weird look. Then he got out of the car walked over to the lawn mower and started it up and moved the lever and the thing worked. I could not believe it, the dumb thing worked! I guess it just needed a bath in order to work! I am not cut out for this stuff.

Thayne and I truly are the Green Acres couple!

Give me a mall any day!

So I'm impressed with how perfect the Harris mowhawk looked. Great job Thayne. I bet your right about the mower needing a bath. I understand your frustration and I know you probably fixed the problem but you'll never get the credit, trust me.

That looks awesome! He did a great job. I think since TJ started the mower he should just mow. Whoever starts it, mows it!

Mowing your name into your lawn is so cool! I wonder if we could do that in our lawn - our 4x4 ft lawn. Doubt it!

That is so cute! Glade would never think of that or allow it! Sorry you are struggling, I think yard work should always be left to the male species. If you're going to the mall, call me!!!
