If it is not happening in primary than I will try not to get involved.
That was my new motto for church.
That was until this month.
I am not a relief society kind of person. I have never been in RS and I kinda like it that way. I do my best to attend the activities, but that is just to hang out with my girl friends.
Our stake is having a RS service project right now. They want everyone to get a 2 month supply of water for everyone in their family. Do you know what that means?
These!

It also means a grumpy Thayne. He is not really excited about seeing these barrels sitting around our home. He keeps telling me we have a swimming pool full of water. I am getting into the do it anyways mode! I am thinking one day he will be grateful that I went ahead and filled ugly blue barrels full of water and stored them at our house.

one day he'll thank you
They are totally ugly, BUT they will be the most beautiful thing you have ever seen the day you have to tap into them. We have 7!
i rather have those big blue jugs then 100 1 gallon jugs. we had to give our away when we moved to st. louis. now it's time to start all over again. plus the pool water will be good for filling the toilet or maybe washing clothes, not cooking or drinking.
Just wanted to make sure you know it's a two-week water supply not a two-month water supply. I didn't want your house to turn into a sea of blue barrels!
Valeen, thank you that makes me feel better.
2 months I don't think so. Valeen is right 2 weeks but the church is asking for a 3 month food supply at the moment. The year supply hasn't changed but they want you to shot firt for 3 months and then work forward plus there was a big surge at the storage center and they were running out of supplies. So they had to made sure they could help everyone so they began to encourage just 3 months. But be very sure you have emergency kits in cars.
