My Kids!
There are times when they are on my last nerve and I love getting in my car and going to the store to have a few minutes to think straight. However, they are the top priority in my life right now. Well Thayne is actually my top priority but being that he is in Quebec, my kids have my full attention.
Tonight I was kinda torn about being at Wyatt's football practice and Relief Society. I guess it is really called Home Family Personal Enrichment. Really, whoever thought of that name is crazy. What were they thinking "Relief Society, hmm that sounds to easy we need to think of a long drawn out name that we can call these women's activities." I don't get it but maybe that is why I am in primary.
Well anyways, tonight I kinda wanted to be at HFPE (even the initials don't flow) to hang out with friends but I knew that I needed to be at Wyatt's practice just in case something happened like he got hurt. Plus I knew if I was at HFPE I would be thinking about Wyatt at football the whole time. So I ended up staying at football and it ended up practice ended early do to weather. I still did not get home in time to go to HFPE but I would not trade going to HFPE for football practice any day.

Every time Wyatt made a good catch or did something good,
he would look over and see if I was watching.
I wouldn't trade that part of being a mom for anything!

Kids try to act like they don't need us, but we know they love us being around! If it makes it easier on you, lots of people just call it "enrichment". I still call it "homemaking". Whatever! We did miss you though, small group.
good choice.
I love that Wyatt does that! That is a good feeling, and lets you know that he appreciates the sacrifices you make.
Ya I agree with Rach and if I'm thinking right(yes I know that can be questionable) when they went to the quarterly meeting it went back to enrichment or quarterly enrichment night. I don't think the other name really caught on at all.
i would have done the exact same thing you did. cherish those moments now, fhpe will always be there. these events with your children will not last long. they grow up just to dang fast
