This is my room

When Thayne and I first bought our home in Arizona, he pointed out one room in the house and said this is my room that I am going to decorate and you can't say anything about it. It is our family room. It is now painted green with dark wood trim and a beautiful mantle that he built. He picked out the furniture, not my favorite but very comfy. He has been so great about leaving all my little additions. The one thing that has been driving me crazy is the broken vertical blinds that were hanging when we bought the house. It has not really been a priority to change them but it still has been on my list of things to do or I mean for him to do since it is his room. When we went to Ikea last Saturday I found some curtains I thought would be great in the room and they would block all the light out when we watched a movie. Yesterday I found a rod that would go perfectly. I brought it home and grrrrr, it is to short. I knew I should have measured but I was counting on my eyeballs for picking the right size. Now one more trip to find the right size and then hopefully I can cross that off my list.
