Today was just one of those neat days that kinda just flowed along without any kinks in it. It was such an exciting feeling to know I could sleep in and not have to worry about my calling. I woke up to the smell of my kids cooking waffles. Samantha came in and said we were out of syrup. She asked if she could use the syrup in the bottle in the fridge. Well the bottle in the fridge is something that was dropped off on our porch at Christmas. It is a canning jar and on the front is says something like "Granny's Pancake Syrup". I had no idea who it was from so I had been afraid to try it. Seeing that we were out of syrup today we decided to warm some up and give it a try. Delicious! That is the first word that came to my mind. It was like caramel. All I could think of was this would be fantastic over a warm brownie with ice cream. So we still have some left and I am going to try the brownie thing tomorrow for FHE. I am so excited.
So thank you to the person who ditched this on our porch at Christmas.

Conference was great. I really enjoyed listening to the talks, so many of them I need to go and read and re-read because there was some great stuff today. I did doze off during Uchdorff's talk so I have to go and read that one. But I really enjoyed President Monson he always makes me laugh. He is such a neat man and I am so excited to have him as our new prophet and I am going to love teaching the kids in primary about him.
To top off an already great day, we went over to see Grandma Harris. She is Thayne's grandma from Idaho. She is such a neat lady. She is always dressed so nice and always tries to look her best. She just loves my kids and I love to see how she watches them play. Samantha was in playing the piano and she just went in and sat next to the piano and listened for a while and you could just see on her face that she was so proud of Samantha. Also a Big Thank You to grandma for the beautiful porcelain dolls she brought my girls, they just love them.

My kids have 6 great grandparents left. I keep telling my kids that they are very lucky to have this many great grandparents alive. It will just be nice to have grandma here for a few weeks so we can spend time with her.
Today is also my mom's birthday. I am going to call her in the morning.
I just wanted to give a big Shout out Happy Birthday to her.

Show yourself so I know how to get more!
