nerf is in the house

As a mother I have rules of the house that I like to inforce every single day. One of them is that there is no ball playing in the house. That is an outdoor activity. Now this includes all the nerf balls and weapons we have accumulated over the years. The only problem with my rule is that when Thayne is home, there is no rule. All rules are out the door. Everysingle nerf weapon is used. I even recently bought myself a nerf slingshot to use. By the way it doesn't work very good. Today was no exception. Thayne got home just yesterday and today was a small nerf war. Definately not as extreme as others we have had in the house because the bazooka was not used. I always worry about something being broke and if it does I know I will get upset. I just have to keep telling myself that memories are being made in our home and I do my best to let it happen when it does. I remember when I was younger in my parents house growing up we had water fights in the house. I don't remember my mom getting upset about it, infact I think one time she joined us. Sometimes I think I just need to take a step back and look at the big picture, and somedays it is easier than others. Today was not so bad.
