FHE shocker
Tonight for FHE I was responible for activity. I got out my bag of starburst and decided to have a quiz showdown. I have a flipbook that has questions and answers for 2nd-4th grade level. I was pretty sure my kids would breeze through most of the question, but to be honest there were alot I skipped through because I didn't know. We played boys against the girl. The shocker was I asked the girls a question that I was pretty sure my kids knew. The question was "what movie did Han Solo first appear in"? Samantha looked at me and said, "who is that and what group does he sing in"? Huh, are you kidding me, you don't know who Han Solo is? The girls just kept looking at me like I was speaking a different language and I kept looking at them with different facial expressions thinking something would click. Nope they had no idea who Han Solo was. So it went to the boys and they answered instantly with a shout "Star War". I knew the boys would not let me down. Then I had to explain to the girls that Han Solo was only the cutest guy in the movie and the only reason to watch it. They just said they would take my word for it, because they didn't want to watch it. And so my girls learned something new tonight and I feel proud that they now know who Han Solo is.

I will admit I was stumped as well. I knew the name sounded familiar... ah well, boys win.
Those are my girls. Star Wars is laaaaaame!
Respond to last 3 post. I too love the smell of blossoms from citrus trees nothing like it. Wouldn't have a goat! And common on the boys haven't watched enough Star Wars that the girls haven't had a peek. I guess it's just not important.
awww come on. Han Solo has some of the best one liners in the movies! Though I somewhat feel old now.
