This was one of those days when I was driving TJ home from work and we were laughing and talking about his work day.
Ok let me back up just a bit.
Across the street from the bike store TJ works at is a Walgreens store. Today when I was picking TJ up from work I ran into Walgreen's to get some hairspray and TJ grabbed a bag of assorted gummy candies.
Ok back to the ride home.
So we were talking and TJ pulled out a candy and said "this is one of my favorite candies, Mimi always has these at her house" I looked over and saw that he was holding a coke bottle.

I started telling him how those were one of my favorites because I remember when I was younger my mom worked at a store in the Thousand Oaks Mall called Marrow's Nut House. She would bring home coke bottles all the time for us to eat.
I just think it is so neat that one little candy holds fun memories for me as a kid and now that very same candy is creating memories for my kids too.

One of my favorites....thanks Heather, now I am craving them!
I love little moments and memories like that. Not to mention I love those candies!
I have never actually been a true lover of those candies. But I always wanted them because I knew having the "real thing" was forbidden. I was such a rebel... ha ha.
I love the coke bottles! I still try to bite the top half off and then the bottom half to see if I can taste the difference between the "coke" and the "bottle."
Ok I hate these, but my kids love em' It must have skipped a generation over here. However those dutch mints she used to bring home are another story. Mmmmm!
"Whites," as Jacob used to call them. I look for these every time I go to a grocery store but I rarely find them. Even when I do, they don't compare to the coke bottles at Dr. Conkeys.
